Our staff
is comprised of distinguished consultants, each trained
in multiple disciplines such as mental health and
business.
Clinical
Director
Jennifer Alfonso, MBA, MSW, LCSW-C
is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on
anger and stress management, conflict resolution, and
effective communication. Ms. Alfonso is the Founder and
Director of ANGER MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES, a program
utilized by the State’s Attorney’s Office of Maryland
since 1997. Her programs focus on primary, secondary,
and tertiary interventions for violence prevention and
conflict reduction.
As a
trained mediator and a psychotherapist, Ms. Alfonso
maintains a small private practice. She currently
facilitates weekly anger management programs for adults
and two adolescent anger management groups for
adjudicated youth. In addition, her work experience
includes serving as the Clinical Director for a
Therapeutic High School for at risk youth and working
with the Military’s Family Advocacy Program. For over a
decade she worked as an instructor in Montgomery County
Public Schools teaching courses in stress management,
anger management, harassment, effective communication
and conflict resolution. In addition, Ms. Alfonso has
expertise in organizational behavior and is a former
part-time faculty member at a local college for courses
in organizational management.

Scher-Worthington, Ph.D., Trainer
Dr. Scher-Worthington is trained in the field of
communication. She is a free-lance writer with over 200
published articles in multiple disciplines. Dr. Scher-Worthington
teaches at a Florida college. Her
background includes teaching at several different
institutions across the country. Dr. Scher-Worthington
specializes in communication skills and conflict
resolution.

Karenna Armington,
MSW, LCSW-C, LICSW, LCSW
Karenna, a Master's level Clinical Social Worker,
practices from a solution-focused perspective. She
completed her undergraduate work at New York University
and her Master's at Catholic University of America.
Karenna has provided individual and group therapy
services at well known institutions such as Oakmont
School, The Archdiocese of Washington and the Treatment
and Learning Center.
Karenna
specializes in children and adolescent group therapy.
She has extensive experience working with individuals
with pervasive developmental disorders, ADHD, anxiety,
and depression. Karenna has lived in France, England,
Australia and Africa. She has been living in Washington,
DC, since 1991, with her husband, two teenagers, one
dog, and several cats.
